benjamin engeli | piano

A laureate of numerous international music competitions, Benjamin Engeli has performed at prestigious concert venues such as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall London, Hamer Hall Melbourne, the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the Herkulessaal der Münchner Residenz and the Vienna Konzerthaus. He performs with orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra Moscow or the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich. In addition to his solo career he devoted himself with enthusiasm to chamber music. As a member of the Tecchler Trio he won the 2007 ARD Competition in Munich, and with the Gershwin Piano Quartet, the Zurich ensemble and other formations he has established a worldwide concert career. His teachers included Adrian Oetiker, Homero Francesch, Lazar Berman, Andrzej Jasinski, Maurizio Pollini and Andràs Schiff. He has a professorship for piano at the Landeskonservatorium Feldkirch, Austria and for chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel.
